Our tireless Robot has his blind spots - don't give up if he failed to spot the object of your desire. Here are some other ways to find treasures in the MIDI Universe.

• To search for MIDIs by artist, try the unselective, but huge robots. SMF on the Net will get you on the right track.
• Know the artist, forgot the song? The All Music Guide is huge and fast, so is the Ultimate Band List. The CD-music merchants can also get you there, maybe even with a sample of the song.

• While indexing robots, like MIDI explorer, publicize Web sites, some Webmasters have developed a hatred for his more selfish (downloading) robot relatives. Consequently, two major classical music sites have become off-limits to MIDI Explorer, and could not be indexed (Classical Midi Archives, Classical Midi Connection). Except for this piccadillo, these are excellent sites for browsing by composer. Don't tell them a robot sent you.
